Port Credit Memorial Arena was first opened in 1959 and took two years to construct, The facility seats 690 and is an undersized 185’x85′ pad. At over 50 years old now, Port Credit Memorial Arena is the City’s first and oldest surviving public arena where kids and adults have learned to skate and play hockey. The arena features one ice pad, a pro shop, and concessions. The barrel-vaulted roof makes the structure unique in the city. The arena underwent significant renovations in 2009. The renovations added modern space and a sharp looking lobby area, but were done in a way as to preserve the original structure and was recently listed as a Heritage Building under the Ontario Heritage Act.
